Today was my birthday.
It is kind of strange to live away from all the things that are familiar to me and to have a birthday. I’m referring mostly to friends and places. Most of my Cali friends know I LOVE to throw parties. Especially birthday parties. However where we live, it’s very difficult to do, mostly because of the lack of parking (when I say no parking, I mean there isn’t even street parking.) I guess I got a little homesick. But to see well wishes on Facebook from so many people, some even going way back to grade school, was amazing. The phone calls and the cards, too. And to top it off, I was very glad that my very good friend whom I met here in Seattle took me out tonight. Dinner was divine.
Yes, another trip around the sun is beginning for me. And I will take it as a sort of new start – thank you very much!
