My friend Kathleen took me whale watching for my birthday. It was a great trip! The outfit, Island Adventures out of Anacortes WA, did a fantastic job getting us to the whales within 20 minutes. You can read the Whale Report at the link above. We saw a couple of gray whales, who are up here feeding after their long migration from Baja California. We experienced some freezing rain and sunshine on our outing, but the animals don’t really care about the weather too much. Me, on the other hand, must make a serious investment in some outdoor gear at REI. Brrrrrr! It was a good couple of hours. But as I sit in my desk chair writing this, I still feel like I’m bobbing on the boat. This will continue when I lay down to sleep tonight.
