The new view from our window. Downtown Portland and the Fremont Bridge.
I’ve never lived IN a large city. I’ve always lived in a suburb of said big city. Burbank, North Hollywood, Hollywood, etc are all more or less suburbs or are within proximity of Los Angeles. There’s a bus line here, traffic, people out past 10PM – all things that are part of city living.
The move to Portland itself was broken in two parts, Saturday and Sunday. Sunday was the unload the truck day. As we were bringing cart after cart of boxes and belongings into the building, I couldn’t help but notice the streams of people walking by. It was a sunny day and everyone was out! It was like a movie set. Very surreal.
Today was all day unpacking. There’s more of that to come this week.
