This is Sunday afternoon. We were on our way to lunch when we took a detour to the DuBois Culteral Center here in Accra. We were told there were some “heavy hitters” there, but I didn’t know this. After Tim and our hostess for the day found out which building the event was happening in, I went back to the car to get my camera and such. On my way back, this procession is heading in my direction. I just start shooting. It wasn’t until a few minutes into the procession, that I spot Reverend Jesse Jackson walking with a tribal chief !
Today was the day that the Diaspora House was dedicated and opened.
