Big change, my friends.
Today, I sold my white Toyota Pick Up. This is kind of a big deal since I had her for 18 years! There are a lot of memories associated with her.
We went a lot of places together. Me and my boyfriend took off within 24 hours of buying the truck to our first adventure – Death Valley. I immediatly suceeded in locking the keys inside while I went out shooting the Giant Sand Dunes near Stovepipe Wells. However, it was not the middle of summer so we were able to walk the 3 miles to town without worry of heat stroke. We caught a CHP patrolman going our way. Both the officer and my boyfreind worked on getting into the cab. The boyfriend got in first.
Another time, one April morning, I came out to find my truck had been defaced – literally. Someone had stolen the front bumper assembly! Unfortunatly I coudn’t get it replaced for sometime (s0me of you remember that period.)
Anyway, I was looking for pictures of her and these were all I could find. It’s the time I got stuck in the sand while working on a college film as a crew member. We were at Kelso Dunes near Baker, CA. I had gone out early to shoot some desert photographs and did the wrong thing in the sand. When the film crew showed up for thier call time a couple hours later, I had some explaining to do (and some pleading for help!).

We’ve hauled 1400 lbs of paper stock, recycling stuff, had clamps for lighting setups gouge the tailgate, many Christmas trees, many camping trips, many trips to the deserts and just getting me around town. Even brought Eric’s motocycle home a few times – without a ramp.
There are a lot of photographs associated with that truck. But, it was time for a change.
She has gone on to a good home. These trucks are HIGHLY PRIZED, by the way. We only had a FOR SALE sign on the truck and just driving it around got quite a few calls.
