Still life day.
This is a seed pod called a “Devil’s Claw”, and you can read about it’s fascinating story here. Someone gave this to me a few years ago in 29 Palms. It’s about 7″ long. It likes to hitch hike on the hooves of large animals by getting tangled around hooves.
This was especially hard to photograph due to it’s multidimensional aspects.
It is one of my most prized possessions.
It’s rad.
