Trek In The Park, The Final Performances under the lovely St. John’s Bridge, Portland OR.
Today we
went to see a live performance of a famous Star Trek episode called,
“The Trouble with Tribbles”. The event was Trek In the Park, and you can
read about it here. The group who performed, Atomic Arts, will be moving on to other inspiration. As you can see, the place was PACKED! From the looks of this photo, close to a thousand people.
One of the most popular scenes in the Original series. If you are a fan, you remember this well. In order to pull this off, the group needed hundreds of tribbles. So they crowd sourced them! As the saying goes, many hands make light work and the fans delivered. They came from fans from all over the country! Behind the wall was an assembly line of boxes of the tribbles being fed onto Captain Kirk for this scene. Note the Enterprise’s number on the wall. Nice touch, guys!
