What a crazy fun-filled few days. Here is a bit of a wrap up from my Photo Session Special Weekend.
I landed on Friday morning and pretty much hit the ground running, via Flyaway to Van Nuys (I just couldn’t put anyone through the hell that is the 4OH!5 freeway at 9AM). The place I stay when I’m in town is in Glendale and that is also where my vehicle is. And the tickets to fly into Burbank were really expensive. Really.
Once in the city, Friday’s air quality was clear, and visibility was excellent. It remained so for most of my stay. Temps started around 85F and just kept going, eventually into the 100’s. I thought I might’ve climatized to the cooler Northwest temperatures. However, I adjusted to the heat in no time, mostly because it was mostly smog-free and of low humidity, so it didn’t bother me too much.
Work/Fun took me from Lake Forest, Orange County to Montrose, with a couple of points inbetween. Also got a chance to see my grandmom, my sister and cousins, a high school friend and a few dozen other people, randomly at coffee shops. It was so cool!
Since I was working and driving all over the Southland, I was only able to grab a couple of touristy shots here and there:

One of my favorite actors to work with: Ron Ransen. He knows what he wants and brings it to the photo session. I did headshots of him a while back and he still gets work with them. Gotta love that!
I was able to photograph a couple of families of some good friends of ours.

The “work” part of my trip was over on Sunday afternoon, and I spent the rest of the afternoon with family. It was nice to catch up with my cousins and their kids.
