Still Life – June 2015

I’ve been holding out on you. I did do something kinda fun back in June.

I was asked to help put together an inventory of the tools that the office had available for use. The final product was to be shown to the entire staff as a powerpoint presentation. I could’ve chosen the easy way, simply shot color catalog images with a list and discription. Which would work, but not be memorable.

Instead, I donned my 1960’s-era metal framed glasses, dressed in a black turtleneck, then opened the presentation with some beat poetry I wrote. With Dave Brubeck’s Take Five* playing in the background, I then showed them this:

Some of the images are below. I had to get creative with the spacial relationships, so I added different levels and elements. It was a fun exercise. And the staff remembered the tools!
