 Ship parts #1

Ship parts #2

My girlfriends and I went to the Industry & Art Show today in a shipyard by the Willamette River. This shipyard repairs all sort of ships and boats, including Navy vessels. This show allowed access to the grounds that are normally not open to the public. The art was very inspiring, and included sculpture, painting and photography, some of the work done by the shipyard employees. We were surrounded by VERY LARGE SHIP PARTS, all of which were created crafted my highly skilled workers. I love stuff like this! It inspired us to make some cool images. I hope to go next year and do the tour.

Modern culture in America could use a lot more building of big things. Fiddling with teeny tiny computer buttons can be quite tedious. But to move a 250 ton boat part and flip it over using a crane, now that’s WORK!
