Detail from today’s pre-wedding preparations. Henna painting.
I just have to add that I spent the day with the nicest group of people. All of them (except the bride and groom) came from out of town to be here for the wedding. There we were, a cross-cultural melting pot, enjoying a casual afternoon together in Oregon. And I have the privilege and honor of being their photographer! I spent a good portion of the day with them: this was the first time that the two families were able to spend time together. I watched to two dads fuss over the grill, the sisters chatting during the henna painting, and clever word games at the dining table were just getting going towards the evening. I left with a feeling of peace and accomplishment. I am so looking forward to what tomorrow will bring at the wedding.
