Sunrise at the Columbia Gorge, OR.
Gary Randall, well known landscape photographer in the Portland area who does some amazing work held a sunrise photo walk this morning at the Columbia Gorge. You can see his work here. He is one of the nicest, and engaging photographers I’ve met so far in Oregon.
This is the view from Crown Point. My favorite part of this image are the shadows from the trees on the water in the lower right.
There were probably about 100 other photographers jockying for prime spots at this location. It was hard not to kick a tripod or two. The park ranger was shocked that so many people would show up at that hour (4:30AM!) But it was totally worth it.
