Just got back from my annual art show in 29 Palms CA. For those of you unfamiliar with the show, it’s the 18th year for the Joshua Tree National Park Association which runs over three days in the beginning of April. I had a great time, sold some artwork, caught up with my desert art friends, and generally “dried out” from all the Seattle rain.
It was a warm and wonderful weekend, filled with art and great weather. We needed it to be that way, too, because the previous two years we had crappy weather. In 2008, we had to shut down the show early on Friday because a rain storm blew in – artwork, pottery and glass are no match for 30mph gusts. Last year, we had wind too.
The flowers were blooming in the lower areas, but I didn’t get a chance to get there this time: Eric was not able to join me and I had to be at my booth the entire time. But I did do a sunset shoot and a dawn shooting session :-). I have a lot of images to process. However here are some teasers.
