Almond Orange Cake
I have made this before, but without any adornments such as the slices of orange and the zest as you see here. The recipe can be found here. I added chocolate chips.
We were invited to a dinner party and I offered to make dessert (something one should do if you want to be kind to your hostess so she has one less thing to prepare for your food restricted sorry soul). I chose orange cake because oranges are in season. My other choice was a chocolate dessert. I got both with this and in the right ratios with this cake. Look at how lovely the crusty side came out.
