Parks Creek, near Weed CA on I-5
I was heading north on the I-5 when I saw this scene. I guess I got a little too excited about figuring out how I was going to shoot this when this all happened in an instant:
1. I noticed I was going 85 mph…
2. So did the CHP officer I blew past.
3. I slowed a bit. But it was too late.
I headed for the right side of the road even before his lights were on. I explained myself honestly to him. For that, he said, he’d let me go with a warning. “But,” he said sternly, “take it down a notch”.
