Space Needle from Queen Ann.
The Space Needle turns 50 this year. Taking a quote from Seattle Met Magazine’s current issue,
“Fifty years ago, the 1962 World’s Fair did more than just celebrate
global culture. It put Seattle on display, inspired world leaders, and
erected a certain needle-shaped tower”.

It truly is an amazing building, with an amazing story to go with it (for instance, it was funded with bond money from the city, and the loan was paid back with the ticket sales within a few months after the fair closed! How’s that for fiscal responsibility?).
