I met a pair of duck lovers at a pond near a library. They feed them with cracked corn (FYI bread makes ducks sick. Don’t feed ducks bread). As I watched them feeding, that large goose in the top photo came over to me, rather upset that I was there. I know that geese can be aggressive, so I played it cool. And the lady said not to run or get frantic. However, my ploy didn’t work and he came right up and bite me. He left a pretty good bruise on my leg!
Some American Widgeons were also part of the feeding frenzy. Such a pretty bird.
