Day 318

Trailside brook, Twin Falls State Park, WA.

How I got this image:
1. The sun came out after many days of rain. I’ve waited weeks for a day like today.
2. Any plans for indoor activity (like house cleaning, laundry, catching up on email, blogs, study, etc) were postponed (yeah, right. I’m staying inside while the sun is out…).
3. I was inspired by this guy to attempt this type of image.
4. Bought my Discover Pass.
5. I looked for a close waterfall hike on the WTA website.
6. I took off east on I-90 (I had also just washed my car and I always feel like a road trip in a clean car, don’t you?).
5. Lots of trial and error  (testing, testing, testing…).

Today’s photo session reminded me of the film days. I wasn’t sure if I had anything decent so had to wait until I got home. The screen on the back of the camera won’t necessarily tell you if you’ve “got it”. Looking at long exposures is still best viewed as large as possible.

There are a few more images that are also worthy candidates.

Overall, it was a very good shoot day.
