Sometimes it’s the first image of the day that’s the best. It usually grabs me mid stride (people who walk with me know I walk pretty fast).
This exercise has made me see the shot sooner. Instead of taking 20-30 images of a subject, I now take a lot less. I’ve come to know what I can and cannot get out of a subject. It’s usually determined by the light quality, my gear’s capabilities, and my willingness to take a step outside the box. And of course, I have to like what I’m photographing.
