A Popular Photograph, Bellingham WA. New vs. Old.
I spent the day in Bellingham, a town about 20 minutes south of the Canadian Border. The part of the drive there included winding through some tree covered mountains. It reminded me of the highway coming up through Oregon in I-5. Because I had a photo session there, I did not pre-plan my day. Good thing, too. Because I was guided to the Whatcom Falls. You can read more about it here.
On the way back, there was the most beautiful old American car, which had been carefully restored. It looked to be a ’40’s era sedan, with the air conditioning unit canister attached to the passenger side close to the roof. I think it was one of these. It had the most beautiful burnt orange paint jobs and the chrome was gorgeous. I passed him slowly so I could admire it for as long as possible.
