The view from the Sea Breeze Villa – Wedding Central. Most of the gatherings took place in this fabulous home. The middle of September found me on the island of Maui. I was to spend four days there shooting the wedding Anna and Elan. Most of the time was spent with camera in hand. And I got to have some fun with the wedding party.
There is something special that happens when you spend a lot of time with people. I only knew Anna & Elan when I arrived. And now I was going to be living with fifteen plus people I had never met before. Most of these people have known each other for many years – some since grade school! And most of the guest were from Minnesota where the couple first met. So here are a few images from that weekend:
Some Hawaiian locals – a short trip to the Aquarium – Friday afternoon.
Picking up the tuxes…
…followed by a last little tidy up for Elan at a small salon in Laihaina. This lady was quick with that broom! The Wedding Day ~

Anna!

Elan awaits.
Leis for the ceremony.
There was also a butterfly release. But because it was overcast the Monarchs didn’t exactly take off right way. Anna offers one to her nephew.
And another found a warm place to land…

Barkley was unable to attend – something about pets and food service laws and such – but he was represented on each table.
The Sugar Mill – Pua Le’a, Haiku Maui
It was a wonderful experience. A HUGE MAHALO NUI LOA goes out to Anna & Elan (and Barkley), The Kim and Feingold Families and the rest of the gang for allowing me to be a part of a very very special part of all of your lives.
