A Still Life, my first attempt.
I started reading about some of my photo heroes last night, including Edward Weston. So then the idea got into my head that I should shoot a staged still life. Edward used a very large film camera for all of his images. I read that some of the exposures were really long, up to several hours. I wanted to see how difficult staging and shooting a still life really was.
It’s pretty hard. I used whatever technical skill and tools I had. Here’s what I got.
I am not satisfied with this, but wanted to post my first attempt anyway. In the coming weeks, I will work to improve on this.
