This morning’s snow.
I was driving along the freeway and I noticed the delicate branches laced with snow. I took the next exit and drove down the side road I knew was there. All the images I shot had to be from my car: the road was incredibly icy and I wasn’t wearing shoes with traction.
You know how you usually see something as you’re speeding along the freeway, and it’s really cool? You can’t just pull over or stop – for obvious reasons. So you think you can get to it if you get off the freeway and try to find a road that will take you to that exact scene or similar. It never works out. This time, I took a road that I knew was lightly traveled and I could get the shot. I was even parked in the middle of the road.
