17th Annual JTNP Art Festival

I’m getting excited!

The Art Festival is just a few weeks away. We have pottery, gourd art, jewelry, paintings, mixed media and photography mediums on display. Wally Pacholka who does those incredible night sky photographs will be there, too. And me of course.

By all accounts, the rainfall has been really good for the desert wildflowers. I will be in California for a few days in the desert and in town. I heard from a friend a couple of days ago, the temp 82 degrees, with fluffy white clouds and breezy.

Oh, I can not WAIT to feel that warm sun on my skin again.

Don’t get me wrong. It is sunny here in WA. But sunny and 82 is better than sunny and 47 ANY DAY.

Also wanted to mention another area that boasts a nice display of wildflowers: Gorman. Richard Dickey has been documenting the area for a number of years and has some spectacular images here. And of course, the area is threatened by development.
